The Erfurt Exhibition Center has its own tram stop, offering you a fast and direct connection to the city center.
Tram line 2 runs every 10 minutes from Anger (city center) to the exhibition grounds. A P+R car park next to the exhibition grounds makes parking easy, with tram line 2 providing onward transport.

Erfurt Central Station is connected to the Deutsche Bahn AG ICE network. The Munich-Berlin ICE route enables fast and comfortable travel by ICE train from all directions. Long-distance connections to Frankfurt am Main, Leipzig, Dresden, Halle, Berlin, Kassel, Fulda, and Saarbrücken run every hour.
Fast ICE connections to and from Erfurt:
- Erfurt – Leipzig 0:40 hrs
- Erfurt – Berlin 1:40 hrs
- Erfurt – Frankfurt 2:15 hrs
- Erfurt – Munich 2:30 hrs
- Erfurt – Cologne 3:30 hrs
- Erfurt – Hamburg 3:30 hrs
Regional connections serve the surrounding area, including Nordhausen, Northeim, Saalfeld, Glauchau/Zwickau, Gera, Jena, Mühlhausen, and Göttingen. Trains run every 30 minutes to Eisenach, Arnstadt, Sangerhausen, Ilmenau, Gotha, and Weimar.
Take tram line 3, 5, or 6 from Erfurt Central Station to Anger, then change to line 2 towards P+R Messe.
