The Erfurt Exhibition Center has its own tram stop, offering you a fast and direct connection to the city center.

Tram line 2 runs every 10 minutes from Anger (city center) to the exhibition grounds. A P+R car park next to the exhibition grounds makes parking easy, with tram line 2 providing onward transport.

Additional bus connections also take you to the western suburbs of Erfurt. For further information, please visit the Erfurt transport company website.

Erfurt Central Station is connected to the Deutsche Bahn AG ICE network. The Munich-Berlin ICE route enables fast and comfortable travel by ICE train from all directions. Long-distance connections to Frankfurt am Main, Leipzig, Dresden, Halle, Berlin, Kassel, Fulda, and Saarbrücken run every hour.

Fast ICE connections to and from Erfurt:

• Erfurt – Leipzig 0:40 hrs
• Erfurt – Berlin 1:40 hrs
• Erfurt – Frankfurt 2:15 hrs
• Erfurt – Munich 2:30 hrs
• Erfurt – Cologne 3:30 hrs
• Erfurt – Hamburg 3:30 hrs

Regional connections serve the surrounding area, including Nordhausen, Northeim, Saalfeld, Glauchau/Zwickau, Gera, Jena, Mühlhausen, and Göttingen. Trains run every 30 minutes to Eisenach, Arnstadt, Sangerhausen, Ilmenau, Gotha, and Weimar.

Take tram line 3, 5, or 6 from Erfurt Central Station to Anger, then change to line 2 towards P+R Messe.

From the north
From Berlin/Leipzig, take the A9 to the Hermsdorf interchange, then take the A4 towards Frankfurt am Main to the Erfurter Kreuz/Messe Erfurt exit, then continue on the A71 towards Erfurt.

Coming from Hamburg / Hanover / Kassel, take the A7 to the Kirchheimer Dreieck junction, then take the A4 towards Dresden to the Erfurter Kreuz / Messe Erfurt motorway exit, then continue on the A71 towards Erfurt.

From the west
From Frankfurt am Main (A5) or the Ruhr area (A44), take the A7 to the Kirchheimer Dreieck junction, then take the A4 towards Dresden until the Erfurter Kreuz / Messe Erfurt motorway exit, then continue on the A71 towards Erfurt.

From the south
From Munich / Nuremberg, take the A73 towards Bamberg to the Suhl motorway junction (20), change to the A71 towards Erfurt, leave the A71 at the Erfurt-Bindersleben junction (11) towards the airport / exhibition center.

From Stuttgart/Würzburg, take the A7 to the Schweinfurt interchange, then take the A70 to the Werntal interchange, then take the A71 towards Erfurt (follow the signs for “Messe”).

From the east
From Dresden / Chemnitz, take the A4 towards Frankfurt to the Erfurter Kreuz / Messe Erfurt motorway exit, then continue on the A71.
